Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs

I have spent the last 2-ish years really playing it safe with the Instant Pot… mostly making soup… We make a lot of soup! There’s nothing wrong with soup, I really love it. This year I am determined to branch out and start creating more recipes in the Instant Pot that are anything but soup. I can guarantee you will still find more new soup recipes mixed in here too, I just really love making soup in the IP!

We all absolutely LOVED this recipe-I have never seen our kids so willingly eat vegetables and meat! They actually asked for it the night after we ran out of leftovers, that is when I knew it was a hit! When our little lady says “Blog! Oh my gosh, BLOG!” after taking a bite it is a really good sign.

Instant Pot Spaghetti

This recipe is a great representation of the “Instant” pot since it is done in 20 minutes flat-I am not kidding. If you want to skip using the veggies, or you skip sauteeing them, it can be done in 15. Total time for pressure up on our machine was just under 10 minutes each time we made this. The cook time is 5 minutes and for this recipe you will be best served to do a quick release, meaning that pressure will be released as soon as it is done cooking, then you’ll be able to eat your meal ASAP!

Easy Instant Pot Spaghetti that is done in 20 minutes TOTAL-that is including the pressure up time! This is our family's new favorite!
Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs
Servings
Ingredients
  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 24 oz Spaghetti Sauce of choice
  • 6-8 oz Spaghetti Noodles of choice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-2 tsp sea salt (extra tsp for seasoning veggies is optional)
  • 1-2 tsp italian seasoning (extra for seasoning veggies is optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrot
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 2-3 tsp olive oil

Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs
Instructions
  1. Saute veggies in olive oil using Saute mode-about 3-5 minutes
  2. Mix meat and spices, form 11-12 meatballs
  3. Pour 1 cup water in pot when veggies are done (turn off IP)
  4. Break Noodles into thirds and evenly arrange
  5. Place Meatballs on top without touching each other
  6. Pour sauce on top
  7. Close lid, knob to seal
  8. Set on Manual/High Pressure for 5 min
  9. Carefully Quick Release ASAP once it is done cooking
  10. Turn off the warming mode, stir, serve and enjoy!
