About this Recipe
Ingredients
✓ 3 chicken breasts
✓ 1 cup water
✓ 1 cup medium salsa
✓ 3/4 cup chopped onion
✓ 3 tablespoon coconut oil
✓ 1 tablespoon Bragg’s Aminos soy sauce, coconut aminos or tamari
✓ 1 teaspoon Tapatio or other hot sauce
✓ 1/2 teaspoon fish sauce optional
✓ 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
✓ Saute onion in IP with coconut oil and salt (optional-adds 5 min time to prep time)
✓ Place chicken in Instant Pot
✓ Mix all other ingredients in a bowl on the side
✓ Drizzle mixture evenly over chicken
✓ Set IP for 20 minutes on “poultry” setting
✓ Allow to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes then quick release the remaining pressure
✓ (Alternatively cook for 4-6 hours or until done in your slow cooker)
✓ Use a hand mixer or two forks to shred the chicken
