We write about healthy eating, responsible sourcing, making a fresh, home-cooked, whole foods based diet work for a busy family while cultivating a balanced and happy life! Hopefully you find our posts to be informative, inspiring, empowering and enjoyable. 😊
We love to create real food recipes that are relatively quick, easy to understand, delicious, sustainable for day to day life, nourishing and desirable to the whole family-picky kids included! 😉 Our recipes are always gluten-free and mostly paleo, typically nut-free and dairy-free too. Kid-friendly recipes are a very important thing we strive for when creating delicious food! We also offer vegetarian and some vegan recipes. It is our goal to offer ideas for substitutions in all recipes when possible; we encourage you try what you would like even if it isn’t listed and let us know how it goes for you in the post comments!
Living a healthy balanced life is something we are passionate about and part of that is reducing stress and eating healthy whole foods! We know that some people tend to think that healthy food=boring and tasteless+expensive hard work. Healthy food doesn’t have to be boring, expensive or complicated! You definitely don’t have to sacrifice flavor and time to eat healthier! Our recipes are packed with flavor and generally easy to make without requiring you to spend all evening to get a nutritious tasty dinner on the table. We include links to products that we use when possible and give suggestions in the posts on how to save money on specific ingredients. We have two fun little kids that we enjoy spending time with and have found ways to manage eating whole healthy foods without giving up family time! Another aspect of a healthy life is cultivating love and happiness with those around you-especially if you have a family. Taking time for yourself and those you love is another important key to being well-healthy eating does not need to take away from that crucial aspect of life.
